We will start with dynamic stretching and general ball handling. I will typically keep this short as to enhance the number of touches the player gets. We would then move into a skill weather it be passing, setting or hitting to continue to warm the body up. We would then play some sort of game to emphasize the skill that we just worked on. As the session continues more skills be added on or added to and game like incorporation will be further input into the practice. Finally it will be conditioning. I like to do this at the end of practice because it is when you are tired. This will help you when you need to play long days for tournaments. Also it helps mentally as well. Finally we would end with some discussion about the session, goals for next time and stretching.
