More About Coach Breanna

I primarily coach ages 10-18 at any level (beginning through advanced). I have run high school preseasons several times in the past two years and have been a group coach for the Duke University Volleyball Camps.

I recently finished my four year career at Duke University for the Varsity Volleyball Team. In high school, I was a member of the US Youth National Team for two years, was the Gatorade Player of the Year for my home state of Virginia and was an Under Armour High School All American my senior year of high school in 2012.

Most recently, I was a member of the USA Collegiate National Team Program in 2014.

I am flexible depending on what the athlete would like to focus on. I can train any outside hitters, right side hitters, liberos and defensive specialists and focus on technique. I believe technique is important for injury/overuse prevention and for position flexibility and adjusting to increasing competitiveness as you get older.

I strongly believe serve receive is the most important skill for these positions. This has been reaffirmed by USA national coaches. Expect to be pushed to improve your abilities in whatever skill you are looking to work on. Since passing is so important, I've learned that training passing and hitting on sand courts is really helpful, since both skills are so dependent on footwork.

I can and would strongly advise to also incorporate plyometrics and conditioning and will incorporate based on age and interest. At request, I will also provide recruiting counseling and advice for those who are old enough or have any questions about it.

Lastly, I am a huge proponent of learning life skills and lessons through sports and training. This will be incorporated in every single session I run.

Client Reviews

Just what my daughter needed to get ready for high school camp. We will see Breanna again.

Coach Breanna is fantastic. Professional, positive, and very competent about the game and how to improve a player's skills. She taught the entire time and passed on how to improve between lessons. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in improving their game. She was very patient with my daughter and always positive in her message.
