More About Coach Brandon

-I have experience training athletes of all ages in various sports including; rugby, american football, swimming, track and field, soccer, lacrosse, bodybuilding and powerlifting

-I have coached a D1 men's collegiate rugby team, a women's collegiate rugby team, various sports mentioned above at the high school level and adolescents and children overseas at a sports camp

-I am currently a Fitness Director at a gym in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as a personal trainer

-I work with all ages and have the most experience with athletes, typically at the high school or college level

-I am CSCS certified (certified strength and conditioning specialist) and CPR/ AED certified as well

-I have strength trained at the college and high school levels as well

-I played collegiate rugby for two years before tearing my ACL and MCL at Western Kentucky University

-I played basketball, lacrosse, american football and ultimate frisbee in high school

-The year I stopped playing and began coaching, Western Kentucky University men's rugby team went D1

-My main focus is injury prevention so I always begin a workout with dynamic stretching and end a workout with static stretching

-My training depends on the athlete and the sport I am training him/ her for, but I focus on speed and agility about twice a week, resistance training ATLEAST three times a week, interval training (HIIT) as much as needed and anaerobic and aerobic training, depending on the sport and which season the athlete is training in

-I usually train using circuits, intervals and high intensity drills, inside and outside the weight room

-Training will be structured based on the needs of the athlete and focus on hypertrophy, strength, or muscular endurance when referring to resistance training
