More About Coach Brad

I have been coaching runners and triathletes for over 11 years. I have worked as a coach for two different running stores - Fit2Run & FitNiche, an employee wellness center for Tampa General Hospital, and I have had my own coaching business for twelve years. I have worked with athletes from Beginner to Elite Amateur, but my Niche is Beginner, returning athletes, and athletes just wanting to improve on a certain distance. Most of my clients are goal-race-based.

I am a USAT Level I Coach, RRCA Certified, Lydiard Foundation Level II Certified, and Healthy Running Certified. Currently working on my Certified Nutrition Professional.

I am a 5-time Ironman Finisher, a 27-time 70.3 triathlon finisher, and a 37-time marathoner, plus numerous obstacle, half-marathon, and smaller distance race finishes. I received a write-up in The Florida Business Journal and an honorable mention in the Tampa General Hospital Newsletter.

I am a form and Lydiard based coach. My focus is on technique, injury prevention and having fun training. Speed comes later, but at first it is about having all the tools and technique to be injury free while increasing the aerobic system. Following the Aerobic Development Phase, is a Strength Phase, a Speed or Anaerobic Phase, a Coordination Phase and a Taper Phase. My local clients are given a choice of a one-on-one session per month that includes all the phone and email communication and my virtual clients are given access to videos, one-on-one Skype sessions and all the phone and email communication possible.

Client Reviews

We (my son, with me as adult guardian assisting) are still receiving coaching instruction from Brad. But I am really impressed. Brad immediately responded to our request for information and we set up a quick call (I paid for it as required by CoachUp). He laid out a clear, logical plan of action. He inquired about our objectives, our challenges, and then described his approach to coaching. He also explained how he integrates technology such as Garmin watches and some apps into his techniques, and laid out a clear plan of action. Even before our next coaching session, when my son and I had a disagreement about what he should be doing, Brad kindly received an evening call to provide guidance.
Brad is not only knowledgeable, but is organized, methodical, empathetic, encouraging, and clear. Every minute of his session was valuable and worth every penny.

First time ever with such a coach. Brad was very precise as to his expectations and left me with much to work on between now and next session. Excited to see where this all leads.

I really enjoyed my first session with Coach Brad and have already noticed a difference in my running. I am looking forward to moving further into the training program.

Coach Brad was training my 8yrs old son to run 6 miles gor a big test, with a very limited time my son is ready mentally and physically to do the test. Thank you coach

Brad is one of the most patient, understanding and dedicated coaches around. His knowledge of running mechanics and overall fitness is prevalent immediately during his meet-the-coach session. In 2014, Brad’s coached training program helped me shave over 20min off my previous Olympic distance Triathlon time and almost 30min off my HALF IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon time. Brad is always available for his athletes, whether it’s via text, phone call and especially on race day. If you are serious about achieving your fitness goals, Brad has the experience to help YOU get where you want to be.
