I have 30 years of training boys baseball & girls softball. I have coached girls from ages 7 through college. I ran my own baseball & softball training business in Mt. Zion, IL. I have taught at the Wheaton Sport Center and started their first ever lessons offered for baseball & softball.

Additional experience includes:
Grand Slam in Lisle, IL.
DuPage Training Academy in Carol Stream, IL. I currently teach at Training 1900 S. Tyler Rd. Unit 700 St.Charles IL.
I currently hold a substitute teaching certificate. I have a Bachelors degree in Parks & Recreation Administration.

Our High School still holds the state record of going to state 4 years in a row. The record still stands after 40 years. The 4th year I pitched for our team downstate to a 3rd place finish.

A passion to teach the game right. Positive feedback, encouragement, discipline and most of all fun.

My 1st lesson consists of teaching the student how to use their legs and hips because most students do not use their lower bodies properly.

I demonstrate how, because it's easier to learn by watching. I encourage the student to practice this at home in front of a mirror.
We will work on various tee drills.
Next we will work on the upper part of the body.

Proper grip for bat speed.
Bat angle quickest to the ball.
Arm position for a short compact swing.
Some of the drills are live pitching.
Various speeds off a pitching machine.
Using a thunderstick which is a heavier bat the size of a broomstick to hit tennis balls, which increases hand eye coordination and bat speed.
I have invented drills that come as close as possible to game situations to get the hitter ready for the real deal.

My daughter was happy with how he wants to teach her he looked at what she did good made minor tweeks and told what to work on. Very good at what he does can not wait to see results.

Coach Bob helped our daughter in learning the fundamentals of pitching in fast pitch softball. After a group pitching lesson in the Spring, we felt it was important to get some individual attention and Bob provided excellent coaching and guidance to improve her technique. He provided drills that she could practice at home in between sessions. Now that we have the structure and basics, we can work to improve her accuracy and speed. We'll be back once she has a few on field experiences under her belt. Thanks Bob!

Worked with Bob for just over 10 years best hitting coach I have ever had! It wasn't just hitting in the cage, it was analyzing what different types of pitches did, where to put the ball on different types of pitches, how to lay off pitches out of the strike zone, and eventually aiming each hit without even thinking about it.
