More About Coach Ben

Over the past 10 years I have coached over 200 clients ranging in skill level, from young beginners to aspiring collegiate players, to players playing professionally or on the national team. Recently I have worked very closely with Phoenix Rising & Del Sol ECNL/MLSNext programs, FC Barcelona Academy, and a select few national team players. In addition to private sessions I also help with film review to help develop players soccer IQ, virtual coaching programs, and make coaching visits across the country

I tailor each session to the goals of the clients and can focus on shooting, dribbling, passing, defensive skills, or anything else depending on my clients desires. I really value developing and continuing to improve the technical skills and soccer IQ of players at all ages and skill levels. I typically come to watch my players games as well as this will help me identify what they need to work on rather than having them try to identify what will make them a better player. I also do small group sessions and try to challenge players by putting them with older players or players from other teams they are not use to training with. For many of my players I also help with film review and strength training.

Ben was PHENOMENAL...!!
My 12 year old son was a little rusty after a 6 month hiatus but Ben got him warmed and comfortable immediately.
Ran through some great drills, all the while Ben was boosting his confidence, as well as, his fundamentals.
Our conversations lately usually centers around Minecraft, but the entire ride home and dinner was soccer and a rehash of his session with Ben.

Great session, booked another

As a soccer player who had a really successful career at college, coach Maurey has incredible knowledge to bring players into the next level. Coach Maurey really focus on how to improve my games by correcting those subtle mistakes that I’ve been used in my whole soccer career that I haven’t realized it’s wrong. And he’s very patient to explain the reason of those drills. Coach Maurey is also a very nice person; he talked about college recruiting to me for an hour, and I can’t explain how valuable this hour was since it helps me understand the college recruiting process much better. Coach Maurey is definitively the coach I’d recommend.

Coach Ben was great with my 12 year old daughter. Spent a lot of time assessing her skill set first before moving forward to recommend an actual training approach. He showed her a lot of things in one session she hadn’t known after 5 years of club soccer. Excellent coach!

Coach Ben is excellent! In just one lesson he taught my 10 year old son how to defend more effectively. Even better, my son applied that technique the next day at a scrimmage! I highly recommend Coach Ben.

My daughter just turned 6 and is starting U-8 travel in September. I booked Coach Ben to help improve her soccer skills since she will be one of the youngest playing on the team. Not at all what I expected. I expected them to just pass the ball, do some drills, etc. But Ben went above and beyond all of that. He showed her how to position her body, when and how to use each foot, stuff I would have never thought of but are very crucial in soccer and especially at her age. Every single thing he did he explained to both my daughter and us. I immediately knew he wasn't there just for a paycheck and to rush through the hour session. He took his time with her and explained why she should do this or should not do that. He has a huge passion for soccer I can tell. We will be booking again and plan to do weekly sessions with him. His knowledge of the game exceeded my expectations. Glad I found him and I can't wait to see my daughters growth while working with him!

Coach Ben focused on technique and ball skills, and kept the session moving, Great soccer knowledge and ability to communicate concepts to younger players. Good warm-up and drills were fun and focused. Looking forward to scheduling another session with Ben before the season starts, and highly recommend him to anyone!

Excellent Coach!

Ben really breaks down everything that you do. He analyzes your touch and how you execute passes and shots and tells you exactly what you are doing and how to improve. He completely retaught me how to shoot and strike the ball and my shots are not only harder but more accurate as well. Ben looks at every aspect of your game and teaches you how to improve. I would definitely recommend him as a coach.
