Joshua Foss Crean Lutheran High Varsity Goalkeeper (2015) (Testimonial)

My name is Joshua Foss and I am a student at Crean Lutheran High School. I am a senior goalkeeper on the Varsity Soccer team and I have been playing the position for as long as I can remember. This past soccer season (the summer, fall and winter of 2014-2015) I have had the privilege to be coached, mentored, and led by a great goalkeeping coach. I have had many goalkeeping trainers in the past, but Coach Baldemar Pineda certainly stood out among the rest. His knowledge, skill, and authority on the field have proved to be very valuable in my training this past season. I have benefited greatly in the fitness and agility that I gained on the field throughout various drills and exercises/workouts. Coach Pineda pushed me to my limits as a goalkeeper this year and this has greatly improved my gameplay. He has taught me to become more confident in myself on the field and in the midst of fierce competition. Coach Pineda has always had a calm and collected demeanor about himself that I revere greatly. While the training that I had last year was exhausting and difficult, looking back on all of the work that was done, I am extremely grateful for the effort that Coach put into my training. All of the hard work that Coach Pineda had me do was well worth it as it made me a better athlete.
