More About Coach Austin

I’ve been coaching younger athletes since I was in high school during sporting camps. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Psychology I began coaching football at UW-Eau Claire after my football career was completed. When my two years of coaching concluded I began training individual and group sessions ranging from athletes across all sports and ages. I enjoy working with younger kids and high school athletes to help them develop necessary movement patterns and techniques vital to improve their overall athleticism. Furthermore, training higher experienced athletes and fine tuning their sport specific movement patterns and techniques is my passion. I paired my degree with multiple certifications from the industry leading National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I started with my personal training certification and then received my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

In high school I excelled on the football field receiving first team all conference honors as a running back and second team honors as a safety. In the spring I placed 3rd place in the 200m sprint during our track and field conference event. After high school, I continued my football career and played for UW - Eau Claire. I started at wide receiver and then moved to cornerback where I finished my career.

My sessions are all about time efficiency and technique. I truly enjoy teaching and being fully engaged with every movement the athlete makes. I develop my workouts around scientifically based research and sport specific training. I place an emphasis on a proper warm up routine to build confidence in the athlete and their movement patterns. We then transition into footwork training that involves a ladder, cones, etc to spark fast twitch muscle fibers. I will then move into the sport specific training that the athlete is looking to improve upon and what their goals are based on within the sports they are training for. Focusing on foot speed, agility, sports speed, explosiveness, coordination, balance, proprioception, and conditioning are all highly examined and considered during a workout. Athletes leave my workouts with a feeling of confidence, excitement, and the understanding that I’m in their corner and want them to succeed.

Coach Austin was very well prepared. I recently finished my college baseball career and Coach Austin was able to correct my mistakes right away that I have been doing for awhile. I loved his energy and I have already learned a lot of helpful tips from him to improve my speed and agility. I look forward to continuing to work and improve my athleticism with Coach Austin!

He is great , so fun and challenging and always energetic I look forward to more sessions with him. His attitude is always great and he is so knowledgeable in many sports! He is also a great motivator.

Austin is very knowledgeable about his craft . He was on time and had a complete breakdown of what we’re going to work on . Austin has great passion in his training to get maximum results for any athlete.

I really enjoyed how Austin would do the workouts with me from time-to-time. He would push me more than I would push myself and then I’d always have someone kindly correct my form. Having someone who truly invested into my well-being and success made all the difference. Thanks Austin!
Our training was the first serious weight training I had done. Austin was able to push me to work harder and get stronger/more athletic while also being able to have fun conversation. I’m excited take my abilities to the college level!
