More About Coach Angel
I first began coaching at a small local travel team called Palm Beach Wolves with u17 boys where we would go travel all around Florida competing and winning many tournaments. I then transferred to a more well-known travel team Palm Beach Gardens Predators where I was able to coach boys and girls from u10 through u18. Being blessed to have such competitive players we were able to win every league and tournament for the last two seasons.
My athletic highlights include playing at the collegiate level. I played at the University of Ft. Lauderdale where we played D1 in the NCCAA. In the off-season, I play semi-professional UPSL and USSL with Palm Beach Lightning where I have earned many achievements like man of the match and player of the week. I seek to play my junior and senior years of college at FAU where they play D1 NCAA or SEU (NAIA).
My sessions will always be planned revolving around the athlete and their needs. I will figure out the athlete's weaknesses and turn them into strengths. I will also sharpen their strengths. When training a player I focus on perfecting the basics being able to play with one or two touches with both feet with ease and being clinical in front of the goal. Being able to play simple but still have the freedom to be creative is crucial to play at the highest level.
