More About Coach Andrew
Currently registered coach in the state of Wisconsin with a Y-1 coaching certification. In the coming months Y-2 certification to be established. Presently coaching for Middleton United U-7 program as well as providing private instruction for ages 6-10. During my career playing soccer for the past twenty-six years since the age of five my experiences extended to all aspects and ages of soccer. Through camps, jobs, private lessons, help with many teams practices, and my own leadership on the field throughout my career my knowledge and love for the sport has taught me all the skills needed to help others become successful players on and off the field.
Soccer has given me the greatest of athletic accomplishments as much of my life has been dedicated to competing, learning, and teaching others this sport. During my adolescent career my club competed in State of Wisconsin Division A Program and by the time our team was 21yr old be had achieved 5 Wisconsin State Titles through several different clubs including Brookfield Arsenal, Elm Groove United, & Milwaukee Kickers all taking us to regional competition. Throughout these years I also spent some time playing ODP (Olympic Development Program) as well as Y-League Milwaukee Rampage (Youth program program to gain experience at a professional level).
Attending Marquette University High School I played Varsity for three years all of which resulted in Wisconsin State Championships. My sophmore year (1999) as a reserve we won the last WISAA State Championship (Separate public/private schools). Junior year (2000) starting for much of the season we son the first ever WIAA State Championship (Combined Public/private). Senior year (2001) Captain, First Team All Conference, Second Team All State, and started whole season winning State Championship for third straight year with several weeks spent as #1 ranked high school in the country.
Collegiate career consisted of two separate spring/summer seasons spent as a walk-on as the University of Madison Wisconsin Division 1 program. During both my freshman and junior years of college I trained, traveled, and competed against other division one programs giving me invaluable opportunity and experience.
Each session will be set up using a number of variables specific to the client being trained. Variables may include age, current level of skill, or certain areas that need more improvement than others. Variables will effect the difficulty of drills used for each age group as well as how much new techniques are emphasized.
Each session would always begin with a guided stretch no matter the age. During the stretches we talk about the importance of stretching, rules of practice, refresher of techniques or lessons from previous sessions , and most importantly reminding them that soccer is fun through laughing or asking how their week has gone. Next would be guided job/run warm up to get the heart flowing and muscles as loose as possible.
Bulk of each session will always have ONE theme may it be a technique or concept for during the game utilizing both fun and challenging drills/games. Early on it's important to demonstrate and perfect each the concept of the day. From that point on the rest of the session repetition and instilling fun for home through a final competition with goals leaves them with a good taste of soccer. Lastly, have one more conversation together reminding them what they have learned, what to work on, & what to look forward to next session.

We have only had 1 session so far but I was extremely impressed by the outcome. My son is very excited to practice what he learned. We are looking forward to several more lessons! Thanks Coach!
