I have coached at the youth, high school, and college level at a Division III institution. I’ve done 1 on 1 and group training for field players and goalies. I can teach individual skills and conditioning to be in shape for preseason!
I competed at the college level playing both field hockey and lacrosse at Springfield College. I was the captain of both of the field hockey and lacrosse teams at SC. While and athlete I broke three assists records for most in a game, season, and career. I was the NCAA Statistical Champion for assists for all three Divisions. I received multiple conference awards throughout my career at Springfield.
A typical session from me involves talking through the athletes goals for the session and in general. I’ll go over individual stick skill evaluation at the very beginning and work on accuracy and speed within those stick skills. I’ll go over game IQ through film sessions where I will play a clip it of field hockey film and talk through the play to see what went well and what could have been improved. I’ll talk about fitness within field hockey specifically based on position. I will talk about surface level sports psychology and how to get yourself mentally prepared for games and practices. The sessions can be as individualized as the athlete would like and there will be a level of autonomy given to the athletes to insure that they get everything they want out of the sessions
