I have coached every level of player, from Olympians to park youth teams. I recently retired from my professional career and I am currently coaching girls club at Surfside in the South Bay and doing private lessons. I volunteered at my high school last fall in New York and they won the New York State Boys Championship. I worked for Gold Medal Squared coaching camps for 3 years during the summers. I am going to be assistant coaching at Division I university next year.

I played for the USA Men's Volleyball National Team. I played 5 years professionally in Europe. I played at Springfield College and won 2 national championships. I was the national player of the year in 2010.

I specialize in movement training techniques. I want the athlete to be aware of the efficiency needed to play the sport and the proper sequence of actions. In a given session, I will do a warm activity to assess the level and skills of the athlete(s). Passing is the fundamental skill in volleyball so I start with serve receive and digging techniques. From there I move to setting and hitting techniques for the appropriate skill level. My feedback is designed to facilitate critical thinking in order to get them imagine and feel the correct skill. I normally finish with a mini game aimed on the skills we focused on throughout the session.
