More About Coach Aisja
Hi! I am Coach Aisja and I am a club and private volleyball coach. I have played the game of volleyball for 13 years and I have coached for 7 years. I work with all ages and genders from 5-18 years so I am very good at adapting to what is needed. I am currently a 16s club coach at New age volleyball Club. I have also coached 15s,14s, and 12u teams and high school spring league teams as well. I have helped run camps, clinics, and developmental training as well with all ages.
I played Division ll Volleyball at Shaw University in North Carolina. The team initially had a lot of work to do coming from a losing season the year prior and I was able to become a part of a history-making season my freshman year in 2016. During my collegiate career, I have earned...
Three-time rookie of the week, I Made Second Team, Rookie team, I was a Preseason pick and became Southern Division Champions 2016-2018 and also Conference Champions 2016 and 2018 in which I earned 2 rings I also was a nominee for Woman of the Year.
Volleyball is more than just passing, setting, and attacking. A lot of key elements make great volleyball players.
I typically like to ask the parent and player exactly what they are looking to get out of the training and also find out their age group and level of play ( beginner or more advanced) first. I also want to see what fundamentals they know as well so I can see where we go from there.
I find sessions to run better when we focus on one thing at a time, whether that's defense, serve receive, attacking, blocking, etc. I also agility train to make my girls quicker on their feet. This includes ladders, hurdles, cone work, etc.
Everything I do is a progression, I typically start with a warm-up, then I would go over footwork or the fundamental of the skill I am teaching or make corrections to what I see if they already are familiar. I then start to progress the drills as I see fit and at the end, we normally discuss what they did great on and also what we will keep working on for the next sessions to come.

Coach Aisja has been wonderful to work with. She has been attentive to our scheduling needs, as well as professional and friendly. My daughter has completed 2 lessons with her - each one has been a great workout and learning experience. Aisja is motivating, and my daughter has really gotten a lot out of each lesson. I can’t recommend her enough!

She was very vocal about what Lauryn need to focus on and I appreciate that.

This was our first session with Aisja and we were a bit apprehensive due to the unknown factor. I’d say about 5 minutes into the session when my daughter flashed a big smile we knew we made the right choice with Coach Jones.
She’s obviously extremely knowledgeable but it’s her demeanour and personality which makes her a very good coach. It was a high activity session, being it one on one coaching, but she’s always explaining technique and the reasoning behind it. We look forward to working with her some more.
Donald (CoachUp client)
Coach Aisja was great! We began to notice a change in our daughter's game after the first session.
Meagan (CoachUp client)
Coach Aisja is a great coach. My daughter enjoys working with her. Coach is patient with my daughter, challenges her, provides constructive feedback, adjusts to focus, and just an all around great coach. Thanks Coach Aisja for the work you are putting in with my daughter!
