More About Coach Adam

I have worked in the recreation and sports industry for 22+ years. I have coached athletes in grade school thru college. I work with all ages from 2 thru adults. I am a USPTA Certified Tennis Pro, CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional), NYSCA Certified Coach.

I was 2 years varsity tennis player in high school, 4 year basketball player in high school, I was a player/coach at University of Delaware for Basketball. Earned a letter in Basketball, Taught tennis at Delaware as part of my undergraduate work.

I always begin with a warmup (stretch, short runs, exercise ladder), review some drills we have already worked on to perfect the skill, then will get into improvement skills that the athlete may need additional attention to, finish with a cool down drill. I like to keep the athlete moving for the extent of the session. Short water breaks added between each activity.

Client Reviews

Coach Adam has done an excellent job at teaching our son Nathan the fundamentals of tennis. What I liked most about Coach Adam’s approach was his emphasis on the fundamentals of the game: how to hold the racket, how to swing forehand, backhand, smash, serve, ball placement, play the net, hit a lob, return to center after hitting, etc. I’ve seen Nathan’s tennis skills improve greatly within a year’s time. Nathan (who is now in seventh grade) made the Berean Christian High School varsity tennis team and is currently ranked as their top tennis player. We give a lot of credit to Coach Adam for this. He is very thorough and yet, he always makes his classes very fun and enjoyable. Thanks Coach Adam for everything you’ve done to help out Nathan in both basketball and tennis!
