More About Coach Adam

As a player I was known for my footwork and ball control. I attribute those skills to the many hours of technical drills I did on my own. My focus as a coach is to help develop that same footwork and ball control in my players to the point where the ball will literally stick to their feet. I teach my players drills that they will be able to practice anywhere, while also helping them build on the fundamental skills needed to excel in the sport.

I typically coach young players, aged 5-13. I have been coaching for 4 years now, private training and specializing on youth ball control and development. From 2005-2009 I coached at Detroit Country Day High School Summer Soccer Camp, where I trained youth players in week long technical training camps.

From 2009-2012 I was a member of the NCAA Albion Men's Soccer team, where I was also involved in monthly technical training sessions for local high school teams. Although I am capable of working with older players, I tend to focus on training younger kids, as I believe technical development while players are still young, pays greater dividends in their career.

I have been coaching privately for two years now, helping train local RSC and Vardar players. My specialty is in footwork and ball control.

-Former NCAA Collegiate Soccer player (Albion College)
-2 time State Champion with Detroit Country Day
- All-State High School Soccer Player
-4 years High School Varsity Player
-Spent my Youth Soccer career playing for both WAZA and VARDAR

I also was a High School Swimmer from Detroit Country Day, excelling in Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breast stroke.

I focus my sessions on two different aspects. First and foremost, teaching young players the proper skills and techniques necessary for the later stages of the game. This includes specific drills that teach young players the proper soccer movements, along with allowing them to develop the proper ball control and skill necessary at each level of development.
I also focus my sessions, and incorporate throughout, specific fitness activities that I have learned to be extremely beneficial. This includes quick change of direction, lateral movements, change of speed, and tempo runs that help build a solid foundation for my athletes.

Session Plans include:

- Dynamic Warmup (Ladder, Agility, Functional Movements)
-Technique training (Passing, Dribbling, Shooting)
-Ball Control Drills (Involves Circuits and Obstacle Courses)
-Cool Down (Teaching Proper Habits)

I try to incorporate as much fitness and mental conditioning as possible throughout my sessions.

Client Reviews

Coach Adam was set-up and ready to go when we arrived. The work-out was well planned and challenging, included plenty of touches.

I am very impressed with the improvement that my son has seen in only a couple sessions with Adam. My son's footwork and skill level with the ball is getting better with every session. I highly recommend Adam for anyone seeking to help their child's ball control and to increase their skill level. Adam is a great one-on-one coach and has been very good to me and my son. Truly glad I found someone like him.
Adam really knows the fundamentals of the game and what skills are key for success. My daughter is eager to make the local travel team and her skills are improving after each practice session with Adam. He even gives her a few drills she can do at home between sessions. I recommend Adam - he's patient, knowledgable and a great coach.
