More About Coach Abe

I have been training martial arts most of my life and have been imparting this knowledge into others as well, I have trained with the highest level athletes at professional mixed martial arts gyms and have fought with UFC, Bellator, and other world champions. I have trained people from military to civilians in tactical self defense and Krav Maga
I was shown on history channels the Human Weapon, when they came to israel to study the unique styles of krav maga. And lastly, working for a security company off the coast of East Africa.

My latest certification in first aid and CPR is from the Maritime STCW course (2012)

I was certified in 2000 as an A.C.E. personal trainer from the W.I.T.S. (World Instructor Training School)

I have competed in jiu-jitsu, pankration, boxing, and full contact mixed martial arts (m.m.a.) My last competition was in Israel in Bat Yam, and I fought against the Israeli heavyweight jui-jitsu champion in an open weight full contact fight.

I have also competed in the Chicago Iron Heart Crown and other Jui-Jitsu tournaments in the Chicago-land Area.

- The first 10 minutes I like to start out some light pad drills to gauge skill level and warm up.
- The next 30 minutes would be dedicated to two or three techniques and skills.
- The next 10 minutes would focus on speed, agility, and conditioning drills
- The last 10 minutes would be cool down/stretch

I have worked with a few trainers before on boxing, all in all about 1.5 years. None of this prepared me for my session, where I realized I was just doing cardio boxing before. This is the real deal!

Coach Abraham is excellent! In my Krav Maga lesson we started with a very intense conditioning routine to start building the strength to execute my self-defense, then moved on to techniques –for Jab, Cross, Hook, and then the difference between the Hook Punch throwing an elbow. He was able to break down the moves so clearly. Then we practiced an actual scenario of how to fend off an attack from the front. He was really patient as I got the coordination between deflecting the attack and turning it into an Offensive move – the heart of Krav Maga philosophy. This lesson was high-intensity, fast-paced, worked my entire body and left me completely drenched. I also felt really, really successful in accomplishing what he taught, even though he honestly told me there’s a long way to go. I was definitely left wanting more!

Coach Abraham is a great resource for learning practical, "real world" self-defense. Highly recommended for putting together a routine that will get you in great shape and teach how to fight. Great for people new to martial arts. Relaxed and patient atmosphere.

I went to Coach Abraham so that he could teach my 2 boys Krav Maga for self defense against bullies. Coach Abraham jumped right into his lesson with my 2 sons 9 &7. He immediately started showing them how to jab, hold there hands up in defense, how to throw knees, elbow strikes etc. he also worked in a little body conditioning through light sprints and cal-esthetics. I was very impressed and satisfied with his services.

Coach Abraham is a great coach. I wanted sessions that were going to push me physically and also teach me something. Coach Abraham was great about assessing my weaknesses (anything related to my ground game, my jab, cutting angles when fighting, keeping my hands up when I'm very tired, etc.) and helping me make them better. The sessions always leave me tired and feeling like I've put in real work, but make no mistake, he doesn't just make you do pushups and hit the heavy bag. He teaches a lot of technique and gets very involved when he needs to (self defense drills, sparring). He is very honest with you and a no-nonsense type of guy. He tells you what you're doing well and encourages you. At the same time, he gives you helpful critiques to help you get better. After just 2 months of training, I am already in better shape and a better fighter.

Amazing coach..

Great trainer. Very motivating, patient and knowledgeable. Got the best two workouts of my life. If you want a good combination of strength and conditioning, hit this man up.

I totally rec Coach Abraham. He is boot camp, a worker, he'll push you, he will explain a move to you over and over until you get it, patient and a great communicator. If you want a challenge, if you want to get fit, if you want to kick ass mentally and physically.. he's the man you should book. Carpe Diem!

Awesome coach

With Abe, you'll get an intense, high energy, and fast paced workout. You will work, you will sweat, and you will be sore, but you will not regret it!!!

Coach abraham was great I got there late and felt like I learned alot.

Awesome Coach! We wanted to do kickboxing for a long time but it was difficult to find a coach who could train a couple at the same time! We found Abraham and we are very happy to be trained by him!

High-Energy! Knowledgeable! Motivational! Coach Abraham is an excellent Instructor. His positive attitude and great teaching style are very encouraging. Before i knew it my session was over and i was booking more!

Coach Abraham is not only a very qualified and capable coach, but a very attentive one. While going through the workout, he was paying attention to my weaknesses and was already devising a plan to build upon them. He was also very attentive to my nagging knee injury and made sure to work around it. Our workout was fast-paced and centered around muscle confusion, ranging from martial arts cardio to TRX bands and core workouts, definitely a great introductory session. I love that he is very serious about achieving your goals and gets down to business as if they were his own! Great coach!

Coach Abraham has been working with me for about 3 weeks now and the sessions are going great. My father found Coach Abraham for me after another coach on this same site could not fit me in. I am 19 year old male and I'm fairly overweight(280-290 lbs) and not at all use to exercise, but he is well aware of that and pushes me to my limit without going overboard. He also checks with me regularly on what hurts or sore and we will then focus on those areas with stretching and helpful workouts to gain strength in those areas. Scheduling isn't hard, but sporadic. I'm new and my schedule is pretty open, so someone with more going on might be able to set up a weekly day and time, but for me I go with the motions. Other than that Abraham is great coach and when it comes to the actual exercise and training, I always leave fatigued, but definitely satisfied from a solid workout. I really lucked out with him as a coach.

Coach Abraham was awesome!. I learned many technics in the first session. I'll be looking to do more detailed training sessions with Abraham.

Hands down the best instructor I ever worked with! Specializes in personal training packages and the group classes are great as well. I have never learned how to properly defend myself in such a short of amount of time. I feel like I could walk the streets and properly protect my family. The techniques taught are effective at stopping any attack even with a deadly weapon.
I have never tried this before but this trainer made this seem very accessible to me. It was intimidating at first to learn fighting skills and trying to get in shape but I feel it was well worth it.
