More About Coach Barry

I have been involved in the strength and conditioning field for over 20 years as a certified personal trainer and clinical dietitian. I received my B.A. in clinical nutrition 18 years ago and worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years. I provide clients with a sound and efficient exercise program to meet their individual needs, as well as nutrition counseling to further exercise/sport performance in the privacy and convenience of your home or office. I have worked with clients in their teens to elderly age, always making sure the workouts are efficient and age appropriate. I currently coach youth football for 3 years and coached youth basketball for 2 years.

I played football and hockey as a teenager and developed an appreciation for conditioning and weight training. I competed as a natural bodybuilder and placed second in the New York City Natural Bodybuilding Competition. This level of competition gave me the knowledge needed to work with clients for sport specific training.

A typical session starts with a 5-10 minute warmup of dynamic stretching. From there the session increases in intensity as specific exercises are done for specific body parts. The client is always encouraged and motivated as the intensity increases. The session ends with static stretching to cool muscles.
