More About Coach Kali

I began playing softball at 8 years old. I grew up playing at East Cobb in Marietta, Ga, went to Harrison High School, and received a softball scholarship to Georgia College & State University. In 2012 I became the Student Assistant Softball Coach at GCSU where I worked primarily with pitchers and catchers and hitting.

I thoroughly enjoy working with young athletes and helping them achieve their goals. I am also able to offer close guidance for athletes aspiring to play collegiate softball and those who have already entered the recruiting process.

For any session, whether it's hitting, fielding, pitching, or catching, I like to begin by knowing what the athlete wants to work on personally. I also want to know how the athlete did in their previous games or practices and if they had any problem areas. Now getting into the real deal, we'll warm up with a few drills then jump right in to perfecting the athlete's game.

I'm not strict on "1 hour means 1 hour and nothing more." I like to work with my athletes until they have reached a comfortable point in their session, even if that means working for an hour and a half. I always like my athletes to feel good at the end of their lesson. This helps them have a positive outlook on improving their skills and performing in their next game.

My daughter has had the same batting coach for about 2 years but she recently left to coach college ball. After a little research we hit the jackpot with Coach Kali - first lesson was a success.
