More About Coach Tory

Some people see being fit as thin and eye pleasing to others. I see fitness as being comfortable with your appearance and reveling in the opportunity to become a better person as a whole through exercise. Fitness is a state of mind.

For the last 14 years, from my time in high school up to my professional career I have been in the weight room and on the field working to be the best athlete I could be. I have trained with and learned from some of the best minds in the fitness world.

My objective will be to work with the client to find out what his or her goal are and work work from there. My goal will be to introduce new innovative workouts that will produce great results.

All of my sessions will include a dynamic and static stretch, and a warm up. We will then move to focusing on the specific area of emphasis for the day, whether it be legs, arms or shoulders etc. We will finish with an interactive game that challenges the body and mind. It will be a personal goal of mind to have a satisfied client at the end of our time together.

For over 10 years I have trained with and learned from some of the best teachers in the US. I have been timed in the 40 yard dash at 4.47 seconds at 257lbs. I have been timed at 3.97 in the 20 yards shuttle. I have a 38 inch standing vertical jump, and a 10ft 5in standing long jump. All of those athletic feats were achieved through knowing how to train and focus on different aspects to maximize the results. I am able to take what I've learned and apply it to help others reach there fitness goals.

I have a division 1 college football, and professional football background. I know what it takes to be physically fit and maintain. I started 4 years at tight end for Central Michigan University. I was named to the Freshman All-American Team, and a candidate for the John Mackey award which goes to the best tight end in college football. I went on to be a part of the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints. I could not have went that far with out being in peak physical condition.

The session would include a light static stretch, and a proper warm up. Next we will get into the designed plan for the day. Generally we will pay more attention to one area of the body for the first 30 minutes. During the final 30 min we will transition into a full body blast that gets the heart rate pumping and the sweat dripping. Each session will end with a short cool down and a light stretch. I will take input from the client as to certain things they want to work on and tailor the workout if need be. There are day where we will get into some non-traditional methods that helps with balance and coordination.
