I'm a very technical, hands on coach. The majority of the work I do is to (1) prevent injury, (2) increase efficiency, and (3) utilizing the entire body while swimming.

Injury Prevention:
All of my clients will warm up for the first ten to fifteen minutes of our sessions. This will include stretching, swimming and drilling before getting into the water. Having a proper warm up is essential to prevent injury, and have an effective training session.

Increasing Efficiency:
I focus a lot with my clients on making each stroke and each movement as powerful as possible--pulling as much water past your body as your body allows. This is done with a number of drills on stroke entry, exit and pull through.

Entire Body Movements:
Although swimmers are know for their broad backs, swimming is an entire body activity. I focus a lot on drills that utilize the entire body, thus decreasing drag and increasing speed. This is done with body positioning drills, both on and off the pool deck.

Client Reviews

The dad of a young swimmer dealing with some challenges asked for words of encouragement. So, I passed along his message to Tom Luchsinger and Lauren Perdue. Took them each less than one hour to write the young girl a meaningful note. We work with athletes who go above and beyond all the time.
