More About Coach Taylor

Football has always been my passion. I grew up playing football from a very young age and went on to play Safety at the University of Northern Colorado. I was blessed to have a successful and healthy career, ending my final season as the Team Captain, Team MVP, Male athlete of the year, and Big Sky 2nd Team All Conference. I have since transferred my passion to coaching. I volunteer part time to help my dad coach high school football where I focus on wide receivers and defensive backs. I also spend roughly 3 hours/week training friends and family of all positions. I like to specialize on athletes further along in their career really looking for the competitive edge to get to the next level (Grades 9-12).

In general, I tend to spend my training sessions focusing on very specific techniques to help my athletes gain a competitive edge. However, I believe every workout session should be tailored to the audience and should focus on the individuals' needs. For example, I help some of my clients with fundamentals like back-pedal mechanics, t-step progressions to break faster, simple coverage schemes, etc. And then I help some of my more advanced clients with things like how to defend back-shoulder throws, how to read a quarterback's dropstep, how to hide coverages, etc. It all depends on the client, but you can count on super detailed drills that get right to the heart of the small fundamentals that will make a big difference.
