More About Coach Sean

Since 2012, I have been leading training sessions with individuals, small groups, and club teams ages six through 30. I have worked with MLS, USL, college, high school, and grade school players to prepare them for their upcoming seasons, or during their seasons.

I have played two years professionally abroad in Sweden. Before going to Europe, I played four years of Division I soccer at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) where I helped lead the team to its first NCAA appearance (2014) since 2007 and an MVC Conference Tournament title (2014). I was a high school All-American and played for St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy.

Depending on what the athlete wants to work on, or what I observe they need to work on I would plan accordingly.

A typical session would involve a warmup without the ball that would include some agility and speed work in order to get the athlete moving. As we work through the warmup, I will lead the athlete through some dynamic stretches in order to reduce injury. From there the athlete will get their brain and feet working with technical and dribbling work. After that, the remainder of the session will be based on what the athlete needs: defending work, finishing, 1v1, passes, first touch, etc.

At the end of each session, the athlete and I will discuss the session and review the athletes thoughts of their strengths and weaknesses and things they need to bring out in their team practices, or on their own before we train again.

After a few decades spent off the field, Sean is helping me get back on it again. Great session.

Coach Sean was patient and understood what my daughter needs to work on and even though she had a long day he knew that we were there to train. He was very open and made her feel comfortable. Great coach!

Sean is great. He spent time on first touch and is highly skilled at that....

We are overwhelmingly pleased with Coach Sean! He has been methodical and deliberate in his training, and has tailored his approach to our sons aptitude. Our son is 15, and he appreciates Sean’s style, and has helped him with all aspects of his game. He stresses the importance of the
‘First Touch’- which has really resonated with him...
I would highly recommend him for 1:1 coaching!!! We’ll definitely be signing up for more lessons!

Coach Sean was great and he helped me in the areas I needed to work on. He gave me good advice and feedback. Can't wait to train again.

Great training session! Our daughter really enjoyed the training session and was motivated by coach Sean to keep working her skills at home. We can't get her out the back yard now. Thank you coach Sean! We highly recommend Coach Sean, he is very patient and experienced. Can't wait until our next session.

Coach Sean responds almost immediately to any message or request. Setting up the session with him was fast and easy. He is prompt, professional, prepared and flexible with scheduling. He knows my son's motivational buttons and he really relates to what a young player's emotions are. I give him the highest recommendation.

So far my daughter has had two sessions with Coach Sean. Sean has been great with communication, on time, and well prepared. She has left each session having had a great work out, something to work on for the next session, and having had a bit of fun. She has had specific areas that she wanted to work on and he has geared each session to help her reach her goal. She has one more session lined up, and is planning on scheduling more. I would recommend Coach Sean, it's been a great experience.

Brendan has been struggling lately with confidence. Last night we made Brendan go by himself to training with Sean. Brendan was so excited about the training , my husband and I may want to extend the training with Sean. He talked the whole way home about how Sean really wanted to help him. I was impressed that Sean, being so young, knew how to get a 13 year old motivated. Brendan loves soccer, but had lost some of the confidence he once had. Sean has already brought some of that confidence back.
