More About Coach Scott

I have experience coaching through mentors that I have learned from the past to help soccer players reach their highest abilities. I have been an assistant coach for varsity high school at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. I have personally trained several high school athletes, all going on to make their varsity team the following season after not making the team or playing on a lower-level squad. I train soccer players of all ages.

As a freshman in high shool, I was a 15 year old starter for a U-17/18 club team called Ajax and made the quarterfinals of National Cup. At Ajax, I was trained by the technical director of PSV and took advantage of a profesional atmosphere. I played some games in the U.S Developmental Academy for Real So Cal and played for DMS 11 U-18 in 2014, ranked as high as number 1 in the state of California and 8th national. I was a starter for three years for my varsity team at Notre Dame High school and I was a captain my junior and senior year as well. I was Defensive MVP for the league and 2nd league all -team my senior year. I went on to play college soccer at Grove City College, a division 3 school.

I focus on two aspects of the athlete, the details and techniques. I have the athlete go through drills that makes them focus on the little details of the game and repetitive motions. Having the little details down I have found improve an athlete's performance in a game time decision. I start off with a dynamic warm-up with the ball, so right away the athlete is mentally in training. After the warm-up, I take the athlete into specific drills of what they are trying to improve on, whether its shooting, 1vs1 defending, first touch, or passing. I love to implement a light side to the drill so where the athlete is also having fun while playing. I make sure the athlete stays hydrated and have fitness implemented into the drills.

Client Reviews

Coach Scott was at first a responsible trainer for 1 session. Then came the excuses and the delays. However, I paid in advance so I was stuck. The last 2 practices (out of 4) he was late. Finally our last practice we drove the usual 40 miles and arrived on time. Ten minutes after the start time I texted him to see if he was late or what? He texted me back he wasn't coming due to family issues. Totally unacceptable. My kid practiced without him in 87° because she's that kind of kid. I hope this helps so other parent who's looking for a coach that is dedicated to helping kids.

He was great with my daughter. She felt very comfortable and learned a lot!

Coach Scott is an excellent Coach. Great for High School athlete, starts with their request for training and assesses their abilities to advance them to the next level. Trains quick tricks/feet work to overcome their opponent and different options based on game and opponent scenarios. Would Recommend Scott to any Soccer Athlete!
