More About Coach Scott

Assistant Varsity Coach at Brimmer and May (NEPSAC AA) - coach elite level high school aged prospects, several of which have gone on to play division 1 basketball
Mass Rivals Basketball Club Coach- coached high school aged athletes who are NCAA prospects of all levels. Help lead a weekly group skills session with other Rivals coaches.
Director/Trainer at Basketball Skills Academy in Brookline- run my own personal training sessions at the Pierce School in Brookline. Emphasis is on fundamentals, teamwork, fitness, and attention to detail.

I discovered basketball when I was 10 years old and by 11 was competing with 13 and 14 year old kids. I played competitively throughout junior high school and then high school before joining the United States Air Force. I continued to compete in pick up games, tournaments, and a few intramural leagues throughout my military career and the following years as I earned my Civil Engineering degree from Northeastern University. I've been coaching and training since my college graduation in 2008.

I typically break my workouts down into 5 areas: warm up/stretch, ball handling, shooting, rebounding, and defense. Depending on the experience and level of ability, the session has to be flexible. The common element in all of my workouts is that there is an emphasis on conditioning and competition. It doesn't make sense to go through drills if they aren't competitive and usually need to be timed.

Client Reviews

Scott Forest has been a great help for me on and off the court. On the court he has helped me strengthen the weak points of my game and focuses on areas that needs improvement and attacks it. Off the court he has helped me not only with basketball but with life. He translates the game of basketball to everyday live. He has also been a great role model to me and always there for help when needed. He constantly checks in on me and helps me and gives great advice. In the past two years I am very thankful to have met and be coaches by Scott Forest.
