More About Coach Ryan

I have trained athletes in Las Vegas and Orange County. I have helped Coach travel baseball teams and have taken teams to Cooperstown, NY for national tournaments. I helped coach Basic High School in Las Vegas, NV. I have recently moved to Austin and am currently looking for young men to train and shape into serious athletes. Hitting, Outfield skills, and Sport specific workouts are my main focus.

I have played baseball all of my life and it is a huge passion of mine. I played division 1 baseball at Cal State Bakersfield. My position was outfield and I batted 3rd in the lineup during my college career. I was drafted in the 12th round in 2011 by the Miami Marlins. In 2011 I played in The New York Penn league for the Jamestown Jammers. In 2012 I played in the South Atlantic League for the Greensboro Grasshoppers. In 2013 I played for the Jupiter Hammerheads in the Florida State League. After playing for the Marlins I played in the Frontier League for the WindyCity Thunderbolts of the Frontier League in 2014. After this season, I began training athletes in Las Vegas and Orange County and coached for Basic High School in Las Vegas.

A client can expect to start from the ground up when we are first acquainted. I will look for weaknesses in the swing that usually start from the ground up to the hands. We will start with basics, such as tee work and toss drills. This will give me a better understanding of the mechanics of your swing and we will be able to move on to lessons and that specifically target your weaker areas. Situational hitting and driving the ball into the gaps will wrap up the lesson. Weight training, conditioning, and proper nutrition will also be included. If interested, I can design workouts that improve explosion and power needed to drive the bat through the hitting zone.

Client Reviews

Coach Ryan was excellent. He was patient with my son and conveyed his instructions in a way that a 10 year old can understand. He kept the lesson fun and my son learned what was taught. Will schedule another lesson soon!

I first started playing with Ryan in 2011 when we were drafted together. We played on three clubs together and came up through the Marlins system. He had an edge to him and a work ethic that pushed other players around him. He was a definite leader and made the game fun.
Ryan always had a confidence about him and was somebody I wanted to play with. His enthusiasm and competiveness made him want to step my game up.
Ryan was an exceptional leader in the clubhouse and a warrior on the field. His knowledge for the game was evident as he was always looking for ways to improve his skill set. He was a joy to coach and his energy and passion for the game is infectious.
