More About Coach Robert

I have been coaching since 2011 when I was a freshman at Providence College. I ran all sports camps and specifically lacrosse ones. I currently coach a high school varsity team and also coach club lacrosse. I have coached 6th graders up to seniors in high school. I am the assistant coach at Jefferson Academy Charter School now. I also coach for 3d Colorado Lacrosse and coach two 8th grade teams. I have concussion and first aid certifications.

Once I made varsity lacrosse at my high school junior year all I wanted to do was play Division 1 lacrosse. I was recruited and played 4 years at Providence College, a Big East Division 1 Lacrosse Program. I started every game my junior and senior year as a two way middie. I was given Providence College Lacrosse's "Best Teammate" award as a senior and finished my career with a double overtime game winning goal against Villanova.

When working with a player first I want to know what the player wants to work on. From there I will design a program or practice plan that will help improve said player and hopefully let them have some fun in the process. I will also teach my players important lacrosse concepts and techniques that I have learned over the years. I played both sides of the ball my whole career so I have plenty of drills and ways to practice concepts from attack to defense. I specialize in shooting, stick work, footwork, positioning, stick checks, ground balls and a plethora of other concepts. Typically I start all sessions with stick work then move to areas the player wants to work on while mixing in plenty of footwork, stick work and ground balls (the essential fundamentals of the game) I usually have some fun games or competitive sections to keep the player excited and engaged.
