More About Coach Robert

From the time I got my strength and conditioning specialist certification to the time I graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy, I knew that I wanted to help people achieve their fitness goals while maintaining a healthy musculoskeletal system through movements that were both powerful and functional in nature.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, personal trainer and strength coach I am uniquely qualified to both assess and treat athletes and clients in ways that others simply cannot. Throughout my clinical experiences and day to day patient care, I have seen patients with musculoskeletal disorders such as: low back pain, shoulder and rotator cuff pathology, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, ACL recovery and return to sport as well as a host of other conditions associated with orthopedic and sports conditions.

My certifications include a Doctorate in Physical Therapy - DPT and a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA - CSCS. I have participated in and presented in research symposia. I have worked with Olypians, professional athletes in the NFL/MLB/Olympics in both rehab and training capacities.

In high school I was captain of my football team as well as a two time All-county athlete. I went on to play linebacker at division II school in Pennsylvania where I attended daily training sessions focused on sports performance, strength and power development as well as overall athletic ability. It was here that I began to hone in on what was truly effective, in terms of a sports conditioning regiment.

Most training sessions will begin with a 10 to 15 minute warm-up court rating compound and functional movements intended to prepare the entire system for a multitude of patterns that will be included with in the training session.

Following, we will start with exercises that begin with the most tactical and most muscle group involvement first. From there isolation exercises maybe incorporated, but only if necessary from a rehabilitation or "pre-hab" standpoint.

Most exercise sessions will incorporate either soft tissue/myofascial release (in person clientele) or flexibility and joint mobility drills intended to allow the system to move more effectively.
