More About Coach Reed

I have coached ages 9 through high school. I coach beginners and advanced players looking to get to the next level. I am also an umpire for Grand Slam.

From 2011-2015 I played college baseball at three different schools. When I played at Snead State Community College I was voted captain on the team by my fellow teammates. My two years there I was the number one pitcher on the team, I also played outfield. My freshman year I received golden glove honors and all conference pitcher. My second school that I played baseball for was the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. My ERA was a 2.52 with 17 appearances and 50 innings pitched. I allowed 14 runs all season and had 46 strikeouts. After that season I transferred to Tennessee Wesleyan college where I had the 2nd most appearances (number of times I pitched during the season) on the team. My ERA at the end of the season was 2.8. I was the closer, I had 27 appearances with 30 innings pitched and 48 strikeouts. I appeared 3 times in the NAIA world series where we ended up finishing fourth place. I was also awarded with all-conference honors as a pitcher but played very minimal outfield for Tennessee Wesleyan. After my college career I was asked to play for a professional team called the West Virginia Miners which was located in Beckley, West Virginia where I obtained the lowest Earned Run Average in the league for the duration of time that I was there. I also played for a team in the Arizona League called Paso Robles and and was offered multiple professional contract offers.

A session plan changes based on an athletes level and goals. Each session is personalized for the individual athlete. We will set goals and each week we will takes steps to obtain those goals. I will use video as a tool in showing athletes what they are doing right and what we need to work on.
