More About Coach Nico

I have trained high-school aged athletes professionally for one year with Performance Course. At Performance Course, we specialized in building speed and strength through a high-intensity multi series program involving technique refinement, agility training, conditioning, and weight lifting. Our types of athletes included football, basketball, tennis, wrestling, track, and baseball.

Multi-sport athlete including: football, soccer, baseball, basketball, track & field, wrestling, and mixed martial arts.Went to the State Championship in Track for the 4x1, 4x2 and 400 m dash in high school. Football player at the collegiate level with Oklahoma State University after earning an athletic scholarship to play there. Part of the only conference championship win in 2011. Following my 2 year career with Oklahoma State University, I moved to Barcelona, Spain to begin my semi-professional soccer career which ended due to injury after one year.

I truly believe an athlete cannot master his/her talent and unlock all of their potential until they have perfected their fundamentals. I strive to perfect movement efficiency by incorporating fundamental practices in all of our warm up and full sessions. A skips, B skips, high knee Carioca, as well as plyometrics will get the athletes moving in all different planes to best be prepared for athletic activity. Once completing the initial warm up, we will begin a high-intensity session with drills focused on a specific movement or muscle group for the day. Some drills will include but are not limited to: Flying 30's, L-Drill, Agility Ladder, 3-Cone Drill, Ab Station and many more.

Not only will we work on drills to develop quickness and speed, we will break down the running form to ensure that every element of the body is reaching its maximum potential in movement efficiency. We will work on breathing, and feeling comfortable while we are running. We will work on balance so that we can be in full control of our body.

I expect 100% effort and will never settle for less. I love to have fun and not take anything too seriously, but I will not put up with slacking. The only way to see the kind of results that we all want to see will require a trainee to be completely invested, as I will come into every workout with a fiery passion that I hope will inspire those who are on the edge, or motivate those who are ready to work even more. I will also focus on mental health development and preventative injury care by dedicating the end of each session to a cool down stretch that incorporates meditation and yoga practices. I am also interested in providing nutritional advice and possible meal plans if you would like to reach out for more information.

Good first session, but I was unable to book for additional sessions due to his schedule. I would have preferred to know that he would not always be available to consistently coach each weekend before I booked my first session.
