More About Coach Moses

I have coached and mentored athletes since 2008, from 1st graders up to high school seniors. I have experience as an assistant coach at the high school Junior Varsity and Varsity level at Mark Keppel High School. I work with all ages, but focus on athletes at the middle school/high school level to develop their skills and confidence so that they can be ready for the next level.

Captain of Mark Keppel High School Varsity basketball team 2007-2008. I did not compete at the collegiate or professional level. I currently compete in amateur recreational tournaments and leagues in the Los Angeles area. Awards at the high school level include: 2006-2007 Second-Team All-League, 2007-2008 First-Team All-League, 2008 Burbank All-Tournament Team, 2008 MVP of my team and 4-time CIF CA participant.

Attention to detail and the importance of fundamentals is what I focus on. The correction and adjustment of minor details can lead to major improvements. Areas of focus include: shooting form, defensive techniques and fundamentals, rebounding, passing, ball-handling, pick-and-roll, spacing, court vision, post-moves, cutting, fitness and strengthening.

Starting from the basics and fundamentals will get me a sense of where the player currently stands. From there, I will work on the top three needs that the player wants to improve on and divide up the time into 3, 20-minute sessions in the hour. I will also provide a simple and effective workout program that the player can incorporate in the time between each session for strength, longevity and discipline.

As long as the player has the passion for the game and the hunger to be better than their competition, it will be a fun and worthwhile experience.

Coach Moses is doing a wonderful job with my son. I can see how he has improved as a basketball player week to week. Coach Moses is knowledgeable and is a great motivator. He also give “homework” that helps the athlete hone their skills between sessions.

Great coach. He took his time with my so and was very patient with him. Moses did exactly what we asked of him. Plus he was very encouraging
