More About Coach Mikala

I coach volleyball all year round (2 seasons, and 7-15 individuals year round) as well as basketball and track seasonally. With that I have developed a strong strength and conditioning program for my athletes so they can excel in their sports.

I played sports all through Highschool at a D1 school then played a year of volleyball in college. As a player I was dedicated to my sport and earned all conference on a couple occasions and had lesser recognitions in college because I only played for one year.

My strength and conditioning program targets speed, agility and explosiveness. We will not use weights other than a weighted vest or ankle weights at times. My training consists of body weight and suspension excercises. This focuses on fast twitch muscles and speed. We will also train with resistance bands, reaction balls, and agility latters.
