More About Coach Michael

Although I dont have specific coaching experience, my dad is 20+ year coach and I have played for Coach Bob Foley who has the most wins in Massachusetts Basketball history. My training experience includes private / personal training for individuals. Typically work with teenage, high school or 12 year old age bracket. I have spent several years coaching youth summer programs at Worcester Academy and have done personal training for several years.

Collegiate full-scholarship athlete. Colgate University. 2-sport athlete in HS. Team captain of both Basketball and Football Team. 1999 Player of the Year, 2-Time Central Mass All-Star, 1999 Super Team Member. Dozens of Youth Championships.

Typical session includes warm-up with endurance and agility training. Continue with ball handling drills including dribbling with one hand, two hands, through cones. Continue with shooting form and shooting from stationary position and off the dribble as well as from passing. Rebounding work is mixed in with box out skills, jumping techniques and position mechanics. Defense work includes side to side movement, defensive positioning and how to move while guarding another player. Finish with full court or half court running drills and / or jump training and plyometrics drills. We will work hard, get sweaty and have fun while learning how to become a better more skilled player that is smarter both on and off the court.
