More About Coach Michael

Most of my coaching experience has come from camps and one on one coaching. During the academic year I train at least two players a week in my local area and once the semester is over I begin to coach in various camps. I've learned a lot from Arsenal Soccer Schools as I am working side by side with coaches who actually learned directly from Arsenal FC. I can also say the same with FCBEscola as the directors from the camp were directly from FC Barcelona's famous youth academy, La Masia. Through both these two amazing learning experiences I feel as though I can help players reach a new level.

Current Situation: I am playing professionally for Saffle FF who compete in Division 3 in Sweden. I was also previously invited to participate in preseason with FC Voluntari (Liga I - Romanian First Division) in January. I was also on trial with CS Sportul Snagov (Romanian Second Division) but I had to come back due to visa issues.

My sessions would depend on the level of the athlete. Over the past few years being in a Division I collegiate and professional environment throughout Europe, I have been exposed to many different training methods. A sample session is written below.

Warm Up
- dynamic stretches (leg swings, hip openers/closers, etc)
- core/glute activation (crunches, bridges, etc)
Technical Drills
- passing 1st and 2 touch drills (10-20 reps each foot with each different touch)
- controlling the ball out of the air (chest, thigh, etc...10-20 reps each surface)
Shooting Drills
- receive ball on ground or out of air, play a pass, control and shoot (repeat 10 times with both feet)
- line up 6 balls across the 18 yard box, shoot each one on goal with no break (repeat twice with each foot)
Cool Down
- Juggling (40-alternating feet, 30-right foot, 30-left foot)
- Static Stretching
