Paid & Volunteer Coaching & Mentoring (ages 5-18) extensive time in camps, workshops, individual sessions, and over the phone and through email consultation involving workouts, words of wisdom, and video examples & support for workouts etc.
No certifications, lots of experience, specialty is high school level but love working with younger kids because of the opportunity for a strong positive influence and force that is long lasting and far reaching. That is what fuels me to do this work. MVHS football and CVHS basketball, I have had active mentoring roles that involves consistently speaking to the team and attending practices.

A typical session would be 2 hours. The first 30 minutes is Stretching - Mental & Physicsl Stretching. This is includes various static and dynamic stretches to completely warm the body to the point of a light sweat. The more important part of this stretch is the mental stretching. This comes in the nature of me addressing goals, aspirations, expectations for the athlete and articulate with them how to get there today, tomorrow, and no matter what! The mental stretching is a sports psychological empowerment period of time that helps the athlete identify what they want and how to get there, I’m thankful to have done it. The next hour is the physical development and limit exploration. A workout is an exploration of limits and test of physical and spiritual will. Your will is a force beyond the physical and that can fuel the physical body. During a workout I will have athletes slowly be able to push themselves and get comfortable with finding their limits and evolving as an athlete and human being. The last 30 minutes is the cool down. Meditating, stretching, decompressing the body will be the last 30 minutes giving the athlete the opportunity to unwind and focus on recovery and becoming aware of what their body needs as far as attention to specific muscles, etc.

Not one of those guys who spent half an hour warming up, 20 mins on ladders and 10 mins “Speed” training when it actually is conditioning.

I’m a DB, he ran routes as a receiver for me, got some 1 on 1s work in, practiced proper angle to undercut the route and how to break up the pass. Also worked on press man and zone coverage.
