More About Coach Matt

I am not a golf skills instructor, but I offer a very unique Golf Fitness Program that warrants it being in the specialty of golf coaching. I approach golf from 4 different angles:

1. Strength - Driving the ball further and greater club head speed are at the top of all golfers lists. I can work specifically with the athlete to develop strength in the right areas for the game.

2. Balance & Stability - golf is a game with very little room for error, and the slightest miss one way or another affects the shot in an exponential way. Working on balance and stability increase the golfers chance for a more accurate ball strike.

3. Stamina & Endurance - unfortunately golf is not often thought of as a highly intensive cardiovascular sport, but any golfer can tell you that nearing the end of the round, the body begins to give in. The exercises we perform, specific to the sport of golf, will leave you with plenty of endurance at the end of your round whether you are walking the course or riding in a cart!

Flexibility - Strength x Flexibility = Power. And those who are looking to add distance to all of their shots giving them the best opportunity to reach the hole under par will greatly benefit from my golf-specific flexibility program.

All sessions incorporate each of the 4 components of the golf fitness program: Strength, Balance & Stability, Stamina & Endurance, and Flexibility. I work with each athlete on a case by case basis and emphasize the areas that are weaker in order to improve and create a more balanced athlete. The best golfers in the world are supreme athletes, and that is what I aim for with this program.
