More About Coach Marc

I’ve been a basketball camp counselor for several summer basketball camps and basketball academies. The campers grades ranged from kindergarten to high school. The majority of my responsibilities as a camp counselor centered on skill development. Some of my past employers include Trifecta Hoops, Craig Austrie Basketball IQ Skills, and the Connecticut College’s Men Basketball Summer camp.

I was a 3 sports athlete in high school and I think I excelled in all of them. I played 4 years of high school basketball - played in Connecticut Class LL playoffs in two seasons, won FCIAC title, won several player awards in the process. I got recruited by several D3 & D2 NCAA schools for basketball. I ended up attending Connecticut College where I played a season. I ran track for three years in high school as a mid /long distance runner. I ran several races: 3200 Meter, 1,600 Meter, 800 Meter, and 400 Meter. My personal best 1,600 Meter time was a 4:44 minutes. I also played one season of Varsity Soccer at the High School level.

I personally that a basketball workout session should be broken down into basic key stages, including:
Session Details - to be clear about the flow of the different workout segments
Session Objectives - To be clear about what the client can expect to take away from the different drills in the workout session
Warm-up & stretching - To be blood flow
Plyometrics - To develop agility and body control
Ball handling - To get comfortable with
Individual Skill/Technical Developments -
Tactical Development - To highlight the smarter way of playing basketball
Game Development - To highlight how the drills
Conditioning - To build discipline and resilience (wall sits, full-court defensive slides)
Cool-Down and stretch - … There's no need to explain further
