More About Coach Malani

I have been training and coaching student-athletes (boys and girls) for over 17 years. I am currently the Director of Basketball Operations and Head Boy's Prep Coach at a private school. I have trained all age groups and I focus on on combining drills with cardiovascular and body weight exercises. Many of my former players have or are playing in college, overseas or professionally. I work with all age groups.

In my freshman year of high school I averaged 50 points per game. My overall average for my high school career was 38 points per game. I'm my school's all-time leading scorer since 1990. But my greatest athletic accomplishment was receiving a basketball scholarship to Syracuse University. But not just that, I was good enough that I was able to request and be granted a full-athletic scholarship for my sister, who wasn't quite as good as me. I never had aspirations to play overseas. (WNBA was not around at the time) I wanted to use my basketball skills as a means to get a free education and study radio and television broadcasting/production. I did have a brief professional stint in Italy.

A session with me is non-stop drills, that focus on improving skills and increasing cardiovascular conditioning along with building muscle with body weight. The intensity of my sessions depends on the current skill set, age, and conditioning of my clients. Copy and paste this link to see some of my training drills: http://youtu.be/53jmXczVxiw

Client Reviews

When I first came to America from Italy it was the first time I was trained or coached by a female. After a year of being under Coach Malani I became the first Italian born person to receive a full D1 basketball scholarship. She emphasizes drills and character. I played for Jerry Tarkanian at Fresno State and used those principles I learned even when I played in college.
