More About Coach Madeline

I am a 500-RYT Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher ( received all my training through YogaWorks). I have been teaching yoga for about a year and I've been practicing yoga for over 12 years with top yoga instructors from YogaWorks (Vinnie Marino, Mia Togo, Vytas Baskauskas, Thomas Taubman). I teach all levels of yoga with a specialty in Vinyasa Flow. I actively teach for the following companies-- Yoga Cycle in Redondo Beach, Live Yoga Wellness in Westchester, LA Fitness in West LA and for RenewU (the app). I work with all ages.

I was a gymnast, coach and certified gymnastics judge during my teenage years but only competed at the entry level. Since then I've always been athletic, mostly playing recreational sports such as volleyball, softball, racquetball etc. I represented Hallmark Cards twice in Kansas City's "Corporate Challenge" for racquetball (we competed internally and only one woman was chosen each year). I became a runner in my 30's and never looked back once discovering yoga in 2003.

Before beginning, I ask about injuries or problem areas and then have the client close their eyes and bring their attention inward, to the breath. Once calm and breathing more deeply, we warm up doing sun salutations. We then move to standing poses generally starting with externally rotated poses and then moving to neutrally rotated poses. The actual poses chosen and how long they are held depend on the client's ability. We work up to a peak pose (different each time) and then after working up a sweat, we begin to cool down with backbends and sitting poses, ending in Savasana.

Great coach!

(no details provided)

She was such a great coach! She tailored the class to exactly what we were looking for, was right on time and very knowledgable. Would definitely do another session!

Madi is a great yoga coach who is patient, compassionate and encourages one to really pay attention to your body. I felt better after every session.

Madeline is a fantastic coach who personalizes to your goals and needs. Her many years of practice enabled her to make nuanced corrections to my yoga positions that completely changed my inner experience and outer results. I want to use yoga to 'restore' after very stressful workdays and to build strength but in small steps. Madeline has created the perfect flow to achieve my goals; It's been a life-changing experience. I highly recommend Madeline as your perfect coach.

Madi is awesome. She is a great yoga instructor who loves what she does and provides a great customized session to meet my goals while working through my challenges and prior injuries. Even after a few sessions she has made great progress with me and helping both spiritually and with my overall fitness and well being.

I would recommend coach Madeline to anyone. She is very kind, knowledgable, and meets you where you are with injuries or modifications to yoga poses, tailored to your precise level. I went to 6 sessions with Madi after being out of my practice for a couple years, having a lot of autoimmune stiffness and weight gain. After just a few classes with her I felt invigorated and back on track. She has a wonderful private yoga space on the Westside that is very spacious for your session.

Coach Madeline is a very compassionate coach. She is easy going, knowledgeable and fun. She is also always prepared and offers a very comprehensive practice that meets my needs. When I suggested that I was interested in attempting inversions, she was very receptive and prepared a practice where we were able to attempt them for our following session. I look forward to becoming stronger, flexible and more balanced with her support. Thank you Coach Madeline.
