More About Coach Luis

I'm a retired US Army veteran with 21 years of service to our nation. I've trained and coached tactical athletes for over 15 years in strength and conditioning. My most significant accomplishments as a coach were preparing soldiers for Airborne School, Air Assault School, the Army Combat Fitness Test, and tactical situations in simulated and actual combat. Additionally, I trained, coached, and mentored the Indiana University ROTC Ranger Challenge team for two years for numerous physically and mentally demanding competitions while consistently placing in the top two spots. My goal as a trainer, coach, and mentor is to develop clients' functional fitness for everyday life while achieving their goals and educating them on exercise science to the best of my abilities.

My athletic highlights go back to playing high school sports and participating in intramural sports tournaments while serving in the US Army. Currently, I participate in 5Ks, 10Ks, half-marathons, and obstacle course races.

A typical session begins with a dynamic warmup focusing on total body mobility and flexibility to prepare the body for the demands of the session and prevent injuries. I strive to design strength and conditioning sessions based on the client's goals while implementing functional and multiplanar movements for overall health and fitness. Moreover, I educate clients in exercise science to the best of my abilities, so the client can learn and grow mentally and physically while on their fitness journey.

I grew up an athlete, so I enjoy challenging workouts, I can also say that my consistency with going to the gym is excellent. However, I want more; therefore, my trainer Luis (who's now at Esporta) for seven months has challenged me in many ways, and now I see and feel myself to have gotten stronger 😊. Training is not easy with Luis; however, it's effective, and he helps with tracking my progress, so I don’t forget where I started from (nothing) lol, so that keeps me continuing to train with him. Will he make you want to cry? Yes! Will you do it on his watch? No. All jokes aside, he cares about your progress, education, and overall health. I highly recommend him as a trainer.

Coach Luis is a top tier trainer. He is extremely passiaionate about helping his clients reach their full potential, but it is up to YOU to put in the work! I am not new to working out, but I will say that Coach Luis's program is the most thorough and beneficial strength program I have ever done. You will not be dissapointed. No need to look any futher!
