More About Coach Lisha

I have coached youth basketball for the past 4 years, mostly individual skill development. I teach the fundamentals to youth through workouts and skill drills to help build them a foundation to become a successful basketball player.

I've played and studied the game of basketball for the past 18 years, starting when I was 5 years old. I played 4 years varsity at John Burroughs High School where I broke records for; most points in a game, most threes made in a game, most free throws in a season, and became the second all time leading scorer. I was also named all area MVP and league MVP.
My career was continued when I was recruited to Cal Poly Pomona a division 2 school. I competed for two years there before transferring to Azusa Pacific University where I graduated and finished my career.
I have played every position but have the most experience and knowledge at point guard position.

I believe that all players need to be well rounded as I had to play out of position many times due to match ups or being undersized. I have always been a fundamental player so I instill that in my players. I always begin with a warm up to work on jump stops and footwork. Then I would progress through different offensive and defensive drills that complement each other to help players build basketball IQ as well as skill.

Our first training session with Lisha proved to be a great experience.
