As a veteran of Fortitude Health and Training, I was always drawn to the dedication of all of the trainers there. A few years ago I started to develop my tennis game and while practicing and playing tennis definitely helped with muscle memory, I was looking to complement that with strength, speed and agility training in the gym. Lisa continues to provide me with creative and fun ways to improve my tennis game while getting a tremendous burn and keeping me in shape. This has not only helped me on the court, but has also improved my overall fitness off the court. Lisa is familiar with the complex game of tennis and this, mixed with her impressive personal fitness experience, results in a unique training that only she can provide!
Currently entering my fifth year of personal training at Fortitude Health and Training, I could not more highly endorse my training program specially formulated for me by Lisa. I tried a few different outlets and gyms to maintain fitness, before landing at “The Fort”. Lisa has customized a fitness program personally tailored to my individual goals of improving and maintaining agility and balance. I can truly say that my overall satisfaction with my personal health is due in large part to this training. I have been training with Lisa for over 5 years. I train, on average, 3 x’s/week with Lisa, each a 1 hour session. I have been a very active athlete for much of my life and can confidently say that it has been one of the most beneficial experiences for me physically and mentally in trying to achieve a good, sustainable fitness level. Lisa has been able to consistently combine a perfect balance of speed, agility and endurance in each and every training session while having the ability to make appropriate and effective fitness adjustments if I am ever in the mode of managing an injury through recovery. She literally has compiled a few hundred individual and unique training sessions for me, which is impressive in itself, enveloping those important attributes that give you the balance while at the same time ALWAYS keeping it interesting. She is inventive in her craft in that she is always creating new exercises which often incorporate the wide range of fitness equipment she inventories. Lisa also, as she gets to know you, has the gift of “reading” your physical and/or mental disposition on any particular day, whether, as an example, you had a bad experience the previous day or are just experiencing exhaustion from a tough week. This helps her navigate through and ultimately reconfigure a training session, on the spot, if it is warranted for a different situation.
Lisa is not only an accomplished trainer. She is also a very insightful and driven individual in many aspects of life to the point where it is contagious and translates into a positive influence on her clients. I consider her a true, great friend and additionally, in many ways, a type of coach for all the many things that life throws at you. I plan on continuing my training with Lisa as far as life takes this journey and as long as Lisa will have me!
