More About Coach Lindsey

I have been an Athlete my entire life, and began working with individuals professionally 3 years ago. Through my experience, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals in different settings such as an intern at a Sports Medicine Clinic treating injuries of High School Athletes, interning at High Schools in the Orange County are under the supervision of an Athletic Trainer intern, participating in post rehab sport specific training, and lastly my current position as a Personal Trainer. at a "big box" gym, and now at a Private Facility located in Costa Mesa, California. I work with individuals with a wide range of goals and experience. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through National Council on Strength and Fitness, along with a Speed, Explosion, and Agility specialist certified through NASE. Additionally, I received undergraduate coursework at California, University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Wellness and Fitness. I currently attend Concordia University, Irvine obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Allied Health/Pre-Athletic Training, and a Masters in Athletic Training.

I have been exposed to athletes at varying ages and levels due to the widespread environments, aiding in my ability to coach sport specific strength, conditioning, and agility skills. Having a strong understanding of the body from a bio-mechanical standpoint allows me to take the clients specific goal and make it a reality.

I first picked up a basketball before learning to walk, and played through High School. I have experience in various workout genres including Olympic Weight Lifting, Bikini Competition Prep, and endurance training.

At the time of the initial session, athletes will be asked a series of questions pertaining to their sport experience. The questions will also include paying special attention to any injuries the athlete has had in the past or present. Next, a visual assessment and screening are performed to identify any areas in need of attention or correction. These areas may include: muscle imbalances, tightness, or under-active/overactive muscles to name a few. No athlete is the same, thus programs will be created around the athletes initial screening and long term goals.

After the initial session, the athletes program will be created based off their assessment, time frame, and specific goals. Typically, the first for weeks or so are focused on corrective exercise (as needed), core strengthening, and an over-all building of a solid "foundation" for the athlete. Corrective exercise, core strengthening, injury prevention, and any needed rehab will all be sport and skill specific to the individual.

After the initial phase, the real fun begins, and we will be able to kick it up a notch!

*Note all athletes will need 4 weeks of an initial phase. This is the average amount of time I spend with individuals in this training phase, but every body is different. (Pretty cool-right?!)

Client Reviews

Lindsey helped my son prepare for baseball season to decrease his likeliness for injury. We appreciate Lindsey and her compassion, knowledge, and expertise endlessly! Thanks Lindsey!
Before Lindsey, my husband wasn't even able to sit with us at the dinner table. Now, Dana has gained the strength to sit up on his own and able to join my family and I for dinner. Her expertise have made positive changes in our family's daily lives
