More About Coach Lindsey

I have been an Athlete my entire life, and began working with individuals professionally 3 years ago. Through my experience, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals in different settings such as an intern at a Sports Medicine Clinic under the care of a Doctor of Physical Therapy, as an Athletic Trainer intern participating in post rehab sport raining, along with my daily work of being a Certified Personal Trainer. I am certified through the National Council on Strength and Fitness, along with a Speed, Explosion, and Agility specialist certified through NASE. I began my undergraduate coursework at California, University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Wellness and Fitness. I currently attend Concordia University, Irvine obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Allied Health/Pre-Athletic Training, and a Masters in Athletic Training.

I work with a wide variety of individuals with goals such as: weight loss, habit change, injury rehabilitation, strength and endurance training, as well as corrective exercise.

I played sports as a child up until High School age. I participated in basketball most of my life, and had a change of sport interest as I got older. Over the years, this has led me to NPC Bikini Competition Prep, Olympic Weight Lifting, and Strength and Endurance training.

At the initial session, I ask the individuals a series of questions to inform myself of ones experience in fitness, paying special attention to any injuries the athlete has had in the past or present. Next, a series of screenings and visual assessments are performed to identify any areas in need of special attention, such as muscle imbalances, tightness, under-active/overactive muscles. No body is the same, thus programs will be created around the athletes initial screening and long term goals.

On average the "initial phase" of correcting imbalances along with building a strong core to act as a solid foundation for the individual, will take around 4 weeks. From there we "kick it up a notch" and the real fun begins! This does not mean every person will take that amount of time, each body is different. This initial phase aims at core strengthening (quads, glutes, hamstrings, abdomen muscles) injury prevention, and any needed rehab for the individual.

Client Reviews

Dana was in a wheel chair when we first met Lindsey. She has worked with us for months in person week after week along with assigning everyday homework to help strengthen him. Through her rehab knowledge and experience, Dana is up and walking with a cane.
