More About Coach Lindsey

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 20 years of dance training with 6 of them being part of a collegiate and semi-professional dance team, as well as my college dance team choreographer for 2 years. I have completed several courses with Harkness Center for Dance injuries, and completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Since then, I have been working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic in the Charlotte Area, and have treated several students for various injuries and surgeries, patients with ankle instability, alignment assessments, and general sports conditioning and training.

I was trained at Eleanor Connell Dance Studio in Clinton, NJ from 4-18. I was accepted into Pittsburgh Youth Ballet summer program in 2002; I was accepted into Joffrey South and Joffrey NYC summer program in 2004 for a total of 7 weeks of training. I was on the Dance Team at Muhlenberg College for 4 years, with 2 years of being Choreographer; I was a member of the semi-professional cheerleading team for the Charlotte Checkers from 2009-2011.

Each initial appointment, I will perform an assessment looking at the quality of movement, establish where there are apparent weaknesses, and develop a plan to address these weaknesses with input from my client. Additionally, if there are specific types of activities that the client wants to work on, improve, perfect, receive critique on, I will accommodate that as well! Each session will begin with a functional warm up followed by stretching, strengthening specific exercises and ending with compound functional activities, such as center work.
