More About Coach Lewis
I hold a UEFA level 2 coaching license, and also continue to work with D.C United academy at U16 and U18 level. I also work with the D.C United community soccer series. I recently received my USSF B license.
I am currently a professional soccer player for D.C united in the MLS. I am currently in my 16th season as a professional and spent 14 years playing in England at various clubs including Stoke City, Preston North End, Notts County, Carlisle. I arrived in Orlando to play with Orlando City in 2011 before signing for D.C United in 2012. I have gained several promotions in England and also won championships with Orlando City and more recently won the U.S Open Cup with D.C United in 2013!
A typical session would always include lots of technical work no matter what the age group as this is A very important part of the game at any level, also the enjoyment side of my coaching is also important keeping the kid/kids mentally involved and wanting to learn, my sessions would also be developed on the age and level of the player/s. For e.g warm up with ball, technical work, passing and control exercise, dribbling with an end product e.g shot/cross/through ball.
