More About Coach Leon

With over 10 years of coaching, training, and sports management experience I have worked with a diverse athlete clientele. My coaching experience started at the tender age of 17 as a swimming coach and instructor for DC department of Parks and Rec. I continued to build my coaching experience by working with local all star teams Mad Lax and Breakout lacrosse. Upon graduation from Lynchburg College I spent 2 year working the assistant head lacrosse coach at Archbishop Carroll high school. In addition, I am a board member as well as a coach with WINNERS Lacrosse, which is a Lacrosse non-profit in the DC area that creates, funds, and coaches lacrosse programs in local schools. With WINNERS I help to coach after school clinics and summer camps. Professionally my passion for coaching and fitness has led to my personal training career. From 2008-13 I worked as a personal training director at various Fitness First Health Clubs. This position allowed me opportunity to build extensive hands on experience by training, assessing, and managing hundred of diverse clients. I am currently insured, certified through the NSPA (National Strength Professional Association), as well as a Red Cross Licensed training provider for CPR, AED, and first aid.

I have been a competitive athlete since the age of 6. I was afforded the opportunity to compete in various sports ranging from gymnastic, swimming, football, and marital arts. I competed as a 2 sport athlete at Archbishop Carroll high school in the WCAC (Washington Catholic school Athletic Conference), playing both football and lacrosse. I started my lacrosse career as freshmen in high school. With hard work and dedication I became a 2 time team captain and a honorable mention all WCAC selection as a senior. Collegiately, I walked on to the Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team and competed for 3 seasons. For a season I competed on the LC club lacrosse team as a team captain helping to lead LC to the NCLL national title. Currently, I play in local men's leagues.

Each training session will include functional strength training, mobility, and sport specific drills. Each client recieves a fitness assessment to ensure a true unstanding of the athletes needs and current training capacity. Each training program is built specifically to the clients current fitness ability and goals. Each session is 45-60 minutes in length starting with a dynamic warm up, continuing
