More About Coach Lauren

I have coached at the middle and high school levels. I worked with a recreational level middle school team in NC while a college athlete. Most recently I served as a volunteer coach for a women's high school team in MD, where I contributed to session planning, individual coaching, and team tactics. I've also completed my E license through US Soccer.

I began playing soccer from the age of 8. During high school I was an all-county selection for three years, as well as an all-state selection my senior year. I also won a MD State Championship with my club team Frederick United. I continued my career at Division II Catawba College where I helped my team win the SAC Conference once and make it to the NCAA tournament twice.

My sessions will most often revolve around the ball, touches, touches, touches. I like young athletes to get as many touches as possible on the ball because the other parts of the game will come more easily if an athlete is comfortable on the ball. We would progress through a variety of touch drills, emphasizing control, dribbling, and passing. I would include some agility training depending on the age of the athlete. As the athlete progressed I would focus on individual attacking and defending.

My daughter is 9 and currently playing on a travel team. She really looks forward to her sessions with coach Lauren. Coach Lauren is working on touches and agility with my daughter. I am very impressed with the quality and planning that goes into each one of the sessions!

Coach lauren is very helpful. I only had one session, and I can see improvement in my ball control. I think she's a freindly and nice coach!

After just a few sessions, we can already see some improvement in our daughter's playing, and in her confidence. We really appreciate Lauren's professionalism. She always has a plan for each session to work on a particular skill. She gives positive, constructive feedback, and "homework" for the next session.

Coach Lauren was a great coach for my 7 yr old son. Prior to meeting up with her, he barely touched the ball. Always running along with the ball but never really cared to make contact. After 5 sessions with coach Lauren, he has become a better ball player. He makes contacts, he passes the ball and sometimes he will even dribble. We are very happy that he has made so much progress.

Very good fit for my daughter. The drills that were conducted were on point with my daughter’s needs. The coaching of 1v1 moves and dribbling were very well organized and conducted in a very efficient manner. Very good experience with Lauren.
