Since ending my professional basketball career, I’ve been providing one-on-one and small group basketball training sessions. My goal is to physically, emotionally and mentally challenge individuals at all age levels to reach their athletic, personal and academic potential in all areas of life. Prior to relocating to GA, I was training individuals part-time in Indianapolis, IN. I am currently a Gwinnett Basketball League assistant coach for the Shiloh Cluster 7th grade girls team.
I finished my last season at Mizzou as the 7th leading scorer (17.2 ppg) in the Big 12; blasting past the 1000 point mile-marker, third in the Big 12 in steals (2.03 spg) and free-throw percentage (83.2%), and fourth in 3-point percentage (38.9%). I was the only guard among the Big 12's statistical leaders to make more than half (50%) of my shots from the field. I was named a Kodak/WBCA All-America Honorable Mention, a consensus All-Big 12 First Team selection, and was chosen by the league's coaches to the All-Big 12 Defensive Team. I am one of only three players in Mizzou history to score 1,000 points and dish out 300 assists in a career.
I was selected by the Charlotte Sting in the second round (27th pick overall) of the 2006 WNBA Draft. I played all 34 games as a rookie and averaged 5.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.03 steals per game. My 2.15 apg ranked fourth among WNBA rookies and I averaged 4.8 assists per 40 minutes played, ranking second among rookies that averaged double-digit minutes. I was one of just seven rookies in the WNBA to average a steal a game in 2006 and was sixth among the league's first-year players with 1.0 spg.
The Sting folded after the 2006 WNBA season, and I was selected by the Sacramento Monarchs in a dispersal draft. Before the start of the 2008 season I signed with the Indiana Fever.
I also played overseas for teams in Cyprus, Israel, and Poland. Following my first season in the WNBA, I signed to play for EKA AEL Limassol in Cyprus, which had the best regular season record in the Cyprus Basketball League and later won the league championship. I started the 2007-08 winter season with B'nei Yehuda in Israel, then signed with MMKS Energa Katarzynki Torun in Poland wmye I averaged 12.2 ppg in 12 appearances. I played the 2009 winter season with Lider Pruszkow in Poland before ending my professional career.
The first 15 minutes of every session will consist of speed & agility, lateral quickness, and footwork exercises (speed & agility ladders, hurdles, lateral resistance, etc.). The remaining 45 minutes of the session will focus on basketball drills that will challenge each athlete physically, emotionally, and mentally to improve their overall skill set and mental toughness.
