I will focus on the trainees desired goals. For example, I trained a young player with outstanding speed and athleticism. However, she lacked ball control and foot skills. I walked her through various drills and techniques to improve her touch. More importantly, I gave her simple drills to do at home (homework). These drills are fun and made her want to practice her ball control. Over a few month time frame, she improved tremendously. Every player has something special to offer and room to improve. I want to instill a love of the game in all of the players that I train.
