More About Coach Julianne

I have experience in coaching high school level basketball. I've coached at Buena Park High School in California from 2004-2012. I started coaching the freshmen level and moved onto the Junior Varsity after the first season. I was also an assistant varsity coach during the years spent at BPHS. I've conducted many summer camps for incoming and returning student athletes. I've worked with travel ball clubs during the off season.

I've coached 8/9 year olds as a volunteer coach at the Buena Park Community Center.

I have worked with 9-11 year olds from 2014-Present in a more one on one environment. Sessions are tailored to each athlete goals and skill level.

Most of my playing career was at a high school level. Three year varsity starter as a shooting guard at Buena Park High School CA from 2001-2004.
I was awarded the coaches award for multiple seasons and graduated with academic honors.
In 2004. I set and currently hold the record for most threes in a single game (7).

Each athlete is evaluated during the first session. I like to focus on the importance of fundamentals and working hard to meet goals.

Each practice session begins with warm ups and stretches. A recap of the previous session and a run down of what it is expected during the session. Sessions are designed based on the athletes progression.

I like to keep my sessions between 1 - 1.5 hours. 5-10 drills may be introduced during the first session for evaluation purposes and to set a baseline for the athlete. New drills will be introduced per session as we master previous ones.
Training equipment are used to create and maintain muscle memory. Sessions may include the use of agility cones, agility ladders, weighted basketball and shooting straps.
I provide training in both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game. From the body mechanics needed to perform at high level to the knowledge piece of the game.

Client Reviews

We have worked with Julianne for several months. Her patience and ability to work with young children (our youngest is 6) is unparalleled. Her extreme knowledge and ability to implement multiple tactics to teach our boys have benefited our family greatly!

We would highly recommend Coach J!

My 8 year old daughter really took to the way Coach J taught her. It was her very first summer to learn the game. She was very patient and made it fun!
Coach J's shooting workouts really helped my shooting accuracy throughout my high school years. My shot started to be more consistent. I learned that it is all about the mechanics and repetition is key!
